RULES

One entry per school. Group limit: No more than 12 instruments plus a conductor in a band. Maximum time for performance: 10 minutes. Minimum: 5 minutes with a 30 second grace period. Judging will be based on selections, total quality, musicianship of the group, appearance, showmanship, etc. All pieces of music must be from German-speaking composers. No music stands will be provided at the contest site. EACH GROUP MUST PROVIDE TWO COPIES OF MUSIC FOR JUDGES.

JUDGING CRITERIA

1. PRECISION AND GENERAL EFFECT:0-20 pts.)

2. TONE: Intonation and quality of sound (0-20 pts)

3. INTERPRETATION: Dynamics, style, feeling, spirit (0-20pts)

4. SELECTIONS: Original and follows guide lines(0-20 pts)

5. DRESS: Suitable, uniform and eye-catching.0-20 pts)
