RULES

There may be one entry per school with each team consisting of no more than four students.

NO ADVANTAGED SPEAKERS may be on the team.

NOT MORE THAN ONE STUDENT on either Level 3 or Level 4 may be on a team.

Each team may have ONE dictionary.

Contestants will be given a map, a set of questions in German, and paper for writing answers. The team must identify information on the map in order to answer the questions. Answers must be written in simple German sentences. Vocabulary will be kept simple.

The team which answers the most questions in the best German and finishes the questions in 30 minutes WINS!

Criteria for Judging

1. The content of the answers basically correct? (0-50 points)

2. The German is passable. The answers make sense in German. (0-50)

3. In cases of ties, the team finishing in the shortest amount of time is the winner. (20 points extra credit)
