The overall focus is on learning through both creativity and playing. Students of all ability levels are welcome. Each session will be divided into two classes: Kleine Kinder (Young Children) ages 3-6 and Große Kinder (Older Children) ages 7-13. Cost: $75 GTHS members/$85 non-members for one 4-week course. Classes are held at the historic German Free School at 507 E.10th St. in Austin. Sharpen Your German Writing and Speaking Skills
Registration is now open for a new adult German language class at the German-Texan Heritage Societys headquarters in Austin. An Intermediate/Advanced Conversational German Workshop takes place every Thursday in June from 7:00 to 8:30pm (4 weeks). Cost: $20 GTHS members/$25 non-members for the 4 week workshop. Classes are held at the historic German Free School at 507 E.10th St. More detailed information and a registration form can be found at www.germantexans.org, or by contacting programs@germantexans.org. The next 12 week semester begins in early September.
The Intermediate/Advanced Conversational German Workshop is designed to improve German language skills in situations that often pose problems for non-native speakers such as writing a letter, writing an appropriate salutation in letters and emails, and conversing on the phone. The class will also focus on the specific email and computer terminology used in German. We will strengthen these communication skills by looking at some examples, writing short letters, and role playing in class.
