"Thank you for your efforts in making the "Texas State German Contest" a success. Our German kids had a wonderful time competing in both the German play and "Pass auf" competitions. I especially enjoyed meeting German colleagues like yourself and others from across this great state of Texas."
"Finally,
you absolutely do a fantastic job with that contest. I know
what it takes to get kids ready for the competitions. I wouldn't even
want to think about doing that and trying to run the thing. I'm sure you
do this for the kids. We all appreciate it. Vielen Dank."
"thanks
for running a super-organized contest which left everyone happy.
(and tired ;-) ) I am looking forward to next year. Thanks
for all your
efforts."
"You
and the crew did a great job. The web site and schedule were a
wonderful help. That you already have the web site with the winners today
is fantastic."
"We need to do something about judges being late. I don't know what. Would it help to have the judges' meeting earlier, or would teachers really hate that! Would it be possible for us to have phone numbers to call if our judges are not at our rooms. If each teacher brought his own cell phone, perhaps, that would help. Our event started 30 minutes late because the other judge did not show up and I sent for another judge. It is also a huge problem when the next event is scheduled to start in the room you are judging, and your judging is not finished."
"Thanks for all your hard work. The contest was well organized and a great experience for the students."
"Thanks so much for all your help!"
"Thanks for all your hard work putting the state contest together!"
"We had a great time and were ecstatic at getting second place with our skit the very first time out. We really enjoyed it all. I even had a pretty enjoyable time judging prose. We plan on entering just about everything next year at Winterfest, so hopefully we'll see you again in Waco. Vielen, vielen Dank for all your hard work."
"I
agree with you that it is the fun and the preparation that counts. My
few students who put forth the effort, but for one reason or another, did not
"win" an award, won in their enjoyment of the language and the experience.
They all talked about how much they enjoyed the competition and how the younger
ones of them plan to do a better job of preparing next year. They,
then returned to school and encouraged the other students to participate next
year. So, although we were not on many of the winners' lists, my program
will be a winner because you and all the people who help you out each year care
enough to perpetuate this competition.
Thank you so much"
"Sorry about all of the questions. I know you are really busy. I am still very new at this and our school is still relatively small since we only opened a couple of years ago but you were right about what the contest does to the students. They are motivated, they love going and the next year they are the "veterans" and really help you recruit and prepare the rest of the students."
Thanks
to all who expressed their Thanks. I appreciate you all.
I am happy that so many individuals and groups won so many
awards. This
helps build programs and hooks kids on German. That's the
real deal here.
Thanks for all your work in preparing students. The level
of excellence goes up each year.
