* Contest Day Notes for Teachers *
1. Teachers are the best judges and this expertise is needed in the judging of the various categories.
2. ALL participating teachers have an assignment on the day of the contest. Do not send a parent or anyone else to judge for you. We all worked to get our students ready, now we all work to make it worthwhile for them. It's all about the students.
3. Many students are cross entered in many categories, please be patient. It may take them a while to get around to all their categories. Bring a book to read or some papers to grade if there is a lull. Please give every student a chance to be judged. The time line is from 8:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Please honor this.
4. Check the judges' list to see where you have been assigned. Please tell the judges you brought along where they will be. The judges' list will be up on the web site by Feb. 16.
5. Please do
not disqualify any student in any category. If the students have made it through
the area contests it is unfair to disqualify them now. If you have any questions
on the day of the contest about: level of competitors, length of presentations,
instructions, critique sheets, whether a student seems to be advantaged, PLEASE
check with the contest director.
*Important
Note*
Due to students unable to attend, changes to qualifiers'
list have been made.
Please check often to see if any of your students have become qualified
due to drops.
